Strange LOC curves in multirooted git repos

In https://www.openhub.net/p/juliabase/analyses/latest/languages_summary, you can see an odd jump in LOC in August 2014. It think that we merged three repositories into one at this point in time. However, all three repositories have an equally long history with approximately the same activity over the years.

Is my assumption correct that Open HUB is counting the lines of other repo roots only after the merge? If so, would it be possible to change that so that the commits of all roots are spread over time? I can see the rationale for the current behaviour for ordinary merges, but for multirooted projects, it is suboptimal.
