Hi,
When I try to claim a project (simple-crypt) I see the message There was a problem
(with no more info) when I try to submit the request.
Don't have much more info to give - this is with Firefox 27 on Linux.
Cheers,
Andrew
Andrew,
I presume that when you say When I try to claim a project
it means 'When I try to claim my commits to a project'. If so, there can be many reasons but our error message is still unsatisfactory. I see these messages all the time and they mystify me, too. Usually it's some issue with our database which we use for just about everything here at ohloh. It's possible that some or all of the commits have already been claimed by a person or entity. (Try a look-up in the people section of ohloh (https://www.ohloh.net/people) for various aliases you use when making contributions to simple-crypt. This may be revealing.) Also, an alias may exist in the simple-crypt project that was crafted incorrectly.
I'll escalate this to management and see if they can find any explanation for the odd behavior.
Thanks!
sorry, i wasn't clear enough.
i meant that i was trying to claim ownership of a project - become a manager.
i just tried again, so that i could give a clearer description, and it worked! so please ignore this - it now works.
thanks,
andrew
Andrew,
No problem. Glad it's working for you. Let me know here if you meet any additional roadblocks.
Thanks!
