Hi,
One of the projects that I am managing (https://www.ohloh.net/p/ducksmanager/) has not been updated since 8 months. Is there something I need to activate in order it to be synced automatically ?
Best regards,
Bruno
Bruno,
There is probably a failure. Standby and I'll report back here what I find.
Thanks!
Bruno,
At first blush, I see that the initial fetch never finished; it hardly even began. For some reason some projects have trouble with the command git clone -q -n 'git://your_repository.git'
. I am having no trouble with it at my workstation but ohloh is having some failure which is not explicitly given in the error log. Will need to pass this up to somebody in engineering to see if they can catch the actual error being generated.
Thanks!
Okay, please keep me in touch in regard to the situation.
Hi,
Did your engineering team make any progress on this topic ?
Thanks in advance for your answer.
Bruno,
Sorry for any delay in responding. I understand it is a flaw in the version of git that is being used in our servers. Please stand by since a new version is being acceptance tested before it is included in an update to be pushed to the servers. Will let you know once I hear it is in-place.
Thanks!
Sir,
It has now been 2 months since you posted your last message indicated that you would notify me if your dev team solved the problem. I didn't receive such a message, and would appreciate any information regarding your progress. I have added several other projects to my Oholoh account, all of them working fine.
Waiting for your answer,
Best regards,
Bruno Perel
Bruno,
Due to a recent (Wednesday afternoon) upgrade to our infrastructure, I was able to finish the initial fetch I've been having difficulties with. Fetch finished OK (581 total commits). Analysis is now at August 26, 2013 on code collected on August 26, 2013 and last commit is at August 16, 2013 (confirmed with web interface).
Please remind me here if the project fails to properly update.
Thanks for your patience!
Woot woot ! Great ! Although this bug did take some time to be resolved, I must say I have been very satisfied by your quick response and understanding of my concerns.
Thank you for your support,
Bruno Perel
Dear Sir,
Since the last Ohloh analysis that I remarked in late August the project called DucksManager has not been analyzed anymore. I really don't understand what is so special about this project as it is stored on Github just like the others, and I'm using the same version of Git for all of them, if that is relevant. Could you give me some hint about this ?
Best regarde
Bruno,
Update failed 48 days ago with an unable to find object
error. Tried to reschedule the update which failed with the same error but referring to a different object. Started a re-fetch of the repository. This also failed due to the old bug. I guess it still isn't fixed. (The repository looks to be working OK, however.) Off to management and I'll report back with any news they may give me.
Thanks!
Bruno,
For some reason, revisited the project and did a re-fetch which finished OK (875 total commits). Analysis is now at August 06, 2014 on code collected on August 06, 2014 and last commit is at July 30, 2014.
Please remind me here if the project goes astray again.
Thanks!
Thanks ! Seems to be OK for now :-)
