I have registered a new project BaldLies on Ohloh. The project is maybe interesting for other developers and therefore has now homepage. I have added a download page on Ohloh: git://git.guido-flohr.net/perl/BaldLies.git.
The bug is that Ohloh turns that into a download URI http://git//git.guido-flohr.net/perl/BaldLies.git which is obviously invalid.
The feature request is an intermediate page that explains how to “resolve” the scheme git://.
Guido,
The download entry is meant for a conventional web page that offers up tarballs/zipballs normally. I might have suggested including the git address in the project description. As it is I expect most visitors will recognize the format anyway and get the gist of what you mean. (Most browsers can't handle a git: URL directly anyway.)
Regardless, I'll pass your request on to management and see if it gets any traction.
Thanks!
