Hi,
it looks like the enlistment for the DeforaOS
project is stuck in a queue: there have been no updates for 16 days. I'd be glad if someone could have a look into this.
Cheers,

Pierre,
We're having a hard time getting the CVS to finish a series of transactions without timing out. Is it possible that the server that is responding to the CVS requests isn't a regulation
CVS server? We sometimes have these problems when the server isn't 100% official or is an emulation of a CVS server or, perhaps, running in a virtual machine. Alas, also, CVS isn't our best-performing adapter. Is it possible that this data is available from a different source? (Git is preferred though bazaar, mercurial and subversion are OK in that order.)
Let me know...
Thanks!
The server responding to the CVS requests runs cvsd, a wrapper program for cvs in pserver mode
, as packaged in Debian. The CVS server itself is the official one. This is hosted in a virtualized environment.
This setup hasn't changed in a while though, so I am a bit surprised that it would stop working this way. Would you have any other hints?
Thanks for looking into this,

I have changed a few things on my side:
While initially it did not seem to make a difference (with the ohloh client slowly grabbing 50-75% of the history and then dropping) I am pleasantly surprised to see that the project could be updated about four hours ago.
Could it have been just a matter of quotas/timeouts on resource consumption? Or have you made any other changes?
Will let you know how it goes anyway. Thanks!

Pierre,
I'm pleased the project is back up-and-running again. Unfortunately, our CVS implementation is not among our best-performing and it makes intensive demands on the server. It can fail when the server is stressed or is set to limit accesses to preserve bandwidth or CPU for other users.
Please be sure you remind me here if the project stalls again.
Thanks!
