Code analysis not happening anymore

Hi all,

Apparently the code analysis of our project http://www.ohloh.net/p/chamilo stopped being updated a few months ago. Is this an ohloh-problem or is it something we did?

Thanks in advance,
Hans

Hans,

I doubt it's a problem on your side that is the cause - at this point it looks as if we had two different problems in two enlistments. One had trouble completing a fetch and the other found an unexpected file in the repo. Both enlistments at last check had passed the fetch stage and were into the following steps. Will report here again once I have news.

Thanks!

Hans,

All jobs from the previous update cycle have finished OK. An update has since run and all jobs in that update ran OK as well.

Analysis page is at May 29 2011 and last commit is at 2011-05-28.

Thanks!

Hi,

I noticed today that 3 of our enlistments seem to have failed again:
https://bitbucket.org/chamilo/chamilo-adaptive-assessment-item-dev
https://bitbucket.org/chamilo/chamilo-criteria-dev
https://bitbucket.org/chamilo/chamilo-qwiki-dev

Apart from that the overal code analysis seems to be stuck as well, given that it's almost 20 days old. I guess this might be due to the failing enlistments?

Thanks in advance!

Hans,

I will go look at the project now. Yes, the analysis for the whole project will seem to be frozen if any one or more enlistments is in failure. The only progress to be seen will be in the commits.

Thanks!

Hans,

Started a re-fetch on all three enlistments that were in failure. They all ran through quickly (at 4, 32 and 50 commits) and the project started a new update immediately. Will monitor the project to be sure that the latest update runs smoothly.

Thanks!

Jean,

Looks OK to me... A fetch ran to conclusion about 21 hours ago.

Let me know here if there are any problems I haven't found...

Thanks!

Jean,

Other project managers have set up enlistments that can track the branches as well, but there will be errors in the count of lines-of-code since much of the code will be duplicated (multiple times?) in the branches. The good thing is that the committers will be more fairly represented.

Maybe a workable solution is to create a new, separate project for the development activity and let the current project represent the mainline codebase? Sadly, everything is a compromise!

Thanks!

Hans,

The update I spoke about was derailed when an additional enlistment failed. I started a re-fetch on that one as well.

The re-fetch and all following jobs finished OK. Analysis page is at Jul 21 2011 and last commit is at 2011-07-20. I will monitor the project for at least one update cycle to be sure the other enlistments will catch up...

Thanks!

Hi,

The [https://bitbucket.org/chamilo/chamilo-dev](https://bitbucket.org/chamilo/chamilo-dev") enlistment of the Chamilo project seems to have failed to update about 10 days ago, keeping the entire code analysis from being refreshed. Could someone have a look at this?

Thanks in advance!
Hans

Seems to have failed again counting lines :(

https://bitbucket.org/chamilo/chamilo-dev
Step 3 of 3: Counting lines of source code (Failed about 1 hour ago.)

Hans,

You are correct. It was a local error within ohloh. Scheduled a new count for the enlistment.

Thanks!

Good morning, Hans.

You will see Chamilo is feeling better this morning. Re-fetched the problem enlistment. I also needed to re-count it once to get it to finish. A full update started immediately. Analysis page is now at Nov 29 2011 and last commit is at 2011-11-28 (about 23 hours ago).

I detected at least two other enlistments which were having some initial trouble (Connection closed by remote host) but which automatically rescheduled themselves and finished OK. May not happen again since this was a stressful occasion but they bear watching.

Remind me here if you have additional trouble in the future.

Thanks!

Hi,

Apparently one of the enlistments of the chamilo project seems to have made a booboo again. In this case https://bitbucket.org/chamilo/chamilo-app-weblcms-wiki-dev

Thanks in advance!

Hans,

On the job... Report back soon.

Thanks!

Hans,

Rescheduled the hung update which finished OK. An update of the remaining 172 enlistments started immediately. One of those additional updates also failed. Rescheduled that update as well which finished OK. Analysis page is now at Feb 23 2012 and last commit is at 2012-02-23 (about 6 hours ago).

Please tell me here if the project stumbles again.

Thanks!

Thanks, working like a charm now :D

Hi,

It seems to be that time of the month again ;-) Problematic enlistment this time would seem to be https://bitbucket.org/chamilo/chamilo-rights-dev

Thanks in advance!

Hans,

We had two very similar failures; one about 1 month ago and one just this morning. Both were resolved by rescheduling the update for those two enlistments. Analysis page is now at Apr 23 2012 and last commit is at 2012-04-23 (32 minutes ago).

As before, please be sure you remind me here if the project stalls again.

Thanks!

Whoops ... seems like one of the repositories has made a booboo again. Oddly enough it seems to be the same one again, being: https://bitbucket.org/chamilo/chamilo-rights-dev

Thanks in advance !

Hans,

Have cleared the enlistment error - this time it required a re-fetch. Fortunately the repository is blessedly small - 3.8 mb so re-fetching we went. Re-fetch finished OK (326 commits). An update of the remaining enlistments started immediately and also finished OK. Analysis page is at May 16 2012 and last commit is at 2012-05-16 (about 2 hours ago).

Please keep an eye on it for me and remind me here if the updates fail again. You're doing a great job so far!

Thanks!

Whoops, seems another enlistment bit the dust: https://bitbucket.org/chamilo/chamilo-assessment-dev

Should be another small one in case more drastic action is required.

Thanks !

Hans,

Re-fetched the troubled enlistment which finished OK (230 commits) 4 hours ago. An update of the remaining enlistments started immediately and also finished OK. Analysis page is now at May 29 2012 and last commit is at 2012-05-29 (about 4 hours ago).

Please let me know here if problems show up again.

Thanks!

Hans,

Unfortunately we ran into a period five months ago when BitBucket was handing out 503 errors. Seven enlistments were hung because of this. Simple rescheduling cleared all these with 7, 3, 5, 4, 5, 8 and 3 added commits. Four months ago we ran into an untracked file in working directory differs... error with one additional enlistment. For this one we started a re-fetch which finished OK (1172 total commits). Analysis is at January 08, 2013 on code collected on January 07, 2013 and last commit is at January 07, 2013 - about 19 hours ago.

Please remind me here if the project goes astray again.

Thanks!
