http://svn.mandriva.com/svn/packages/cooker is failed, and I think it was submitted long ago
Hi Pascal,
Yes, the mandriva packages enlistment has become infamous around here. That's one large enlistment you've got there, with a whole lot of binary files in it. With up to an hour's time required to download a single revision, and 52,000 revisions to go, this enlistment might take quite a while for us to download.
We fell really far behind on downloads this month, so we had to prioritize, and we deliberately paused the mandriva download. I know that isn't great, but we are just about caught up again, so we should soon restart the mandriva job. However, I want to warn you that this job will probably take several weeks more to finish once we restart it.
Actually I think that the packages part is not important (it's specfiles + patches + tarballs, the tarballs being useless). The soft
part would be more interesting and should be smaller but it should rather be imported directory by directory as some have their own branches.
Maybe deleting the 2 failed one would be the best solution, I would then import the various stuff from soft
I did this, 91 repositories are OK, but one failed : http://svn.mandriva.com/svn/soft/build_system/upload/robot/trunk/
I've rescheduled it. No particular problem that I can see; I expect it to finish just fine.
OK, I take it back.
There is a problem with this repository at revision 224133. A checkout of this revision fails:
$ svn checkout -r224133 http://svn.mandriva.com/svn/soft/build_system/upload/robot/trunk@224133 test
svn: In directory 'test'
svn: Can't change perms of file 'test/sync_updates': No such file or directory
Any clues?
Hmm it looks like an issue in the repository, I'll ask the people in charge. Thanks for this information
Here is the answer I got :
[root@svn tmp]$ ls -la test/sync_updates
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 28 Aug 27 16:24 test/syncupdates -> syncupdatesnew_genhdlist2
Someone managed to import a symlink...
You can still checkout by:
- mkdir test/
- touch test/syncupdatesnew__genhdlist2
- svn co ... test
- rm test/syncupdatesnew__genhdlis2
- svn update test/
Hi Pascal,
This doesn't seem to work for me. During checkout, I get this error:
svn: Failed to add file 'test/sync_updates_new__genhdlist2': object of the same name already exists
...which isn't surprising, since I just created that file.
yes but after removing it (step 4) the update works fine :)
[pterjan@plop tmp]$ rm -f test/syncupdatesnew__genhdlist2
[pterjan@plop tmp]$ svn update -r224133 test
[...]
Actualisé à la révision 224133.
(BTW, thanks for the time you spend on this)
Ah, OK, so the checkout error is expected.
It will take some time to convince our automated scripts to do all of this and get the code into our system, but after 1000 hours of server time I'm not going to let a little thing like this get in the way of our report :-).
Hallelujah.
I had to manually walk through the conversion process for several revisions -- the mess doesn't clean itself up until a few revisions later. It was a bit complicated to do this by hand, but I was successful in getting our bot past the broken revisions. The download is now finished, and hopefully we'll have a mandriva report sometime today.
Thanks,
Robin
Thanks a lot !
