Since ohloh now has gathered quite a few project, and lots of these projects are hosted by popular hosting sites (such as sourceforge or its clones), it would make sense to start connecting people simply on their user names on these particular sites.

I mean, user 'foo' on sourceforge is in fact the same user in all projects hosted by sourceforge, and I bet that goes for savannah and other places as well. So if you "this is me" in project A at sourceforge, you can be certain that foo in project B and project C is the same person.

Just an idea to better connect people of various projects, even when they in fact haven't created an account here...
