There are two kristina
contributors, and the alias page won't let me alias one to the other (I assume because they're the same name). My account seems to be linked up with the second kristina
contributor, and I can't figure out how to make it merge the first kristina
commits with it.
Hi Kristina,
I've used the aliases feature to combine all of your various source control names into a single name.
Let me know if this is still not working out the way you expected.
Thanks,
Robin
I have the same problem on https://www.ohloh.net/p/openlp-org and although I went to the aliases page, I can't group to two of me together, my name doesn't appear in the first box.
The repeat name has disappeared (which is why the aliases weren't working), so all's well for me.
@Raoul,
It looks like this project switched from Subversion to Bazaar, and your Ohloh account was still linked to the old Subversion name.
I've changed your account to point to the new Bazaar name. I think this is all set up properly now; let me know if you need more changes.
Thanks,
Robin
@Robin,
Thanks! That's correct, we were using Subversion for the old version, and for the new version we're using Bazaar.
Greetings Ohloh friends. Last week I had the same problem but I fixed
using the button I'm this person
with my user (popolony2k) logged in.
After this, the other popolony2k user disappeared and the Kudos received (something like 8 Kudos), disappeared too.
Can I get my kudos again ?
The page of the other popolony2k user is
https://www.ohloh.net/p/9175/contributors/39408472524917 and not exist anymore.
Thanks in advance by your response.
Hi popolony2k,
Ohloh does not allow you to give kudos to yourself, so your kudos will not return.
Before you clicked I am this person
, our system did not know that your Ohloh account and your source code contributions were in fact created by the same person. Now we know who you are, and we don't let you give kudos to yourself.
Kudos are given when people sign up as users of your project. Since the only person signed up as a user of this project (so far) is you, you won't get any kudos from this.
If other people come and sign up as users of this project, then you will start receiving kudos again.
Thanks,
Robin
So that means I am not allowed to see [email protected] online (bitlbee shows offline there) nor capable of updating my journal or even adding new projects to my profile because I became a user of one of my projects? link I was about saying my problem was duplication link but no...
It appears to be that the sacred god of juju really hates me :P
Thanks in advance for any insights Robin
My account: link
Definitely! Somebody is playing mental tricks on me. How is this possible? I just unsubscribed all of my jabber/gmail accounts and then ohloh@jabber came online! This is too weird.
Should I start a new tread for each one of this particular problems?
I'm afraid I can't understand what your question is.
Your account and projects seem to be in good standing. Are you having a specific problem with something?
Thanks Robin and sorry, I was too much days without sleeping at all and I am not a native English speaker either...
1-) I code933k
do appear twice at this project link as a contributor. I aliased another Mercurial commit name to appear as code933k but now two distinct code933ks are shown. The one who has 7 kudos there is me, but he is not referenced to my account whatsoever. My problem is not missing kudos but the broken reference to my profile instead.
2-) Everytime I click NEW POSITION to add a project I currently manage (to my profile statistics - a.k.a. experience) it doesn't do anything. Just redirects me to a blank page at this URL (https://www.ohloh.net/accounts/code933k/positions?invite=) which I presume, means name duplication or name-space conflict. Isn't it?
3-) I can't post messages thorough ohloh@jabber neither. When I recently subscribed to ohloh, posting a journal via web was OK. Then I tried to use a jabber interface adding my gmail/gtalk account but then, ohloh@jabber appeared always offline in my IM client. I deleted both my gmail and jabber accounts from ohloh web interface (after trying and trying), then it became online in my IM for my own surprise. I have tried many combinations (add first to IM then to ohloh / first ohloh the IM / jabber client / gtalk client / different IM) But ohloh@jabber keeps complaining with an [...] invalid user [...] message whenever I try to post something to the journal.
Any hints?
Hi code933k, sorry for all of the complicated problems.
1-) This looks fixed. Is there still a problem?
2-) This could be a bug in Ohloh. I am investigating. It might work if you delete your Ohloh browser cookies. If deleting your cookie fixes the problem, please let me know.
3-) This was our fault: the Ohloh Jabber daemon was offline last week, which made it impossible for you to contact the server. It is now working. However, you must now re-register your jabber account with Ohloh. I'm sorry for all of the confusion; this was strictly our fault.
I am still working on #2.
Thanks,
Robin
Hi again Robin, I have good news after some Firebug fiddling and a little of luck..!
Let's check:
1-) Yes, it is apparently OK now.
2-) It appears that the current code for handling profile -> About text is broken. You see, it tries to calculate those 500 characters permitted but fails to deny the recording of characters in excess. Then, lacking proper authorisation tokens, the system gets stuck and starts acting bizarre to the extent I have described above in 2 and 3: No proper handling of your account any more, nor Journal management.
3-) ...Even ohloh@jabber unauthorized user
messages vanished after I managed to cut down the excess of characters in my About box... (?)
This was a mix up of things but seems happily solved now.
Thanks for your will to help, your sincerity when talking about failures and your patience. It is rare to see those things together in a single individual.
Cheers.
I also have a problem with two contributors not appearing in aliases, as Raoul did. I switched from SVN to Mercurial though.

Hi Ortzinator,
It looks like there were some contradictory aliases and claims, but I think I've got it sorted. Let me know if there are more troubles.
Thanks,
Robin
These should be the same contributor as well...

@Brian,
This is fixed -- let me know if there's still anything amiss.
Thanks,
