Cannot submit project enlistment

I have an SVN repository at http://svn.in2p3.fr/cosmophone (you will need UID/passwd), which I cannot submit to ohloh (project jDaq).

I have tried several variants with svn://..., ssh+svn://..., http://... and https://... and also going more or less far down the tree //svn.in2p3.fr/cosmophone/jDaq/trunk without success.

I provided of course the username (anonymous) to the interface. If you want to check yourself, please ask me for the pwd. There is nothing secret, our admins just want to avoid DOS attacks. It is also possible to deposit a public key on the server for SSH authentification without password. Please send me your private key, if you want to try this. (Such a key could be provided anyway by ohloh for scan access of repositories.)

Hi Dirk,

I believe you're trying to setup the svn repository url without providing a password. Is that right? If so, it won't work: Ohloh only connects to open and publicly accessible repositories. This has been our policy since we started and we've never been told by a project that they were subject to a DOS attack as a result of using Ohloh and their password becoming public. At this point, we do not have plans to add this ability.

If all you are worried about is DOS attacks, you could make a copy of the repository at SourceForge or GoogleCode and provide that URL to ohloh.

Best regards,
Andy

Hi Andy,

I am sorry, but you misunderstood: Of course, I am providing username and password to the ohloh interface. The matter is that I do not want to post it to this discussion and would rather send it to you directly by email. (Find my address from homepage, if needed.)

Cheers
Dirk
