isemail and is_email() are the same project too. Would like to merge them if possible.

Yes, some automated way to clean up duplicates would be nice. For now, I have a script I can use -- it's a bit finicky, and not quite ready for website deploy.

@joe_walker, I've merged these two projects together.

@dominicsayers, which project would you like to keep? They look pretty identical except for the name in the URL.

I would like the master project to be is_email() - https://www.ohloh.net/p/isemail

I don't know where the other came from - presumably there is some sort of discovery process?

This is possibly the most confusing case of duplicate projects on Ohloh yet :-).

1. one project has the unique ID is_email and the title isemail
2. the other has unique ID isemail and the title is_email()

This flip/flop of mismatched underscores in the names and titles is an absolutely awesome source of confusion, especially since it looks you've been editing both projects, and appear to have changed the unique ID of at least one of them at one point :-).

I'm keeping https://www.ohloh.net/p/isemail, as you asked, and because its unique ID matches the unique ID on Google, so our data crawler will be able to track it properly.

there is also 3 versions of my project Octopussy on ohloh:

• 1 that I use/update (https://www.ohloh.net/p/Octopussy)
• 2 which have been automatically created from sf.net (https://www.ohloh.net/p/syslog-analyzer) & google code (https://www.ohloh.net/p/octopussy-syslog)

Can you remove the last 2 please ?

Ugh, this is a retarded Ohloh bug unrelated to Octopussy.

Our project search is returning deleted projects. I'll see if we can get that fixed pronto.

I believe I've just fixed this problem (whereby 'deleting' a project will remove it from the search index).

Please merge mesa and mesa3d as well, they are the same project from the same git repo AFAICS.

Of course nice to get double karma whore points, but I guess it is not fair :)

It seems like mesa is the one to keep, it was made first and has the more complete profile.

Yes, mesa3d was added by our web crawler. I've deleted it, and kept mesa.

This shouldn't affect your karma whore points -- our system is pretty good about avoiding duplicate kudos. :-)
