YAML Ain't Markup Language (YAML
) [1] was founded in 2001, and
refers to many open source tools implementing the YAML specification
or relying upon YAML data for it's operation. This forum is currently
indexing YAML to refer to another project (a CSS table utility, as I
understand) that has chosen (in 2006?) to re-use our name despite
widespread prior use of YAML as a data serialization language.
I feel that this causes confusion, and would like to see some sort
of indication that there are separate projects using this same name.
Perhaps in cases like this, the full title of the project could
be spelled out, or perhaps the domain name of the project could
be used (similar to openoffice.org). The main YAML entry would
then either be deleted or turned into a disambiguation page.
Thank you so much!
Clark C. Evans
