is there a desktop application for joomla?
I am trying everywhere to find an application that will allow me to edit my joomla content locally... as i dont have the best internet access ... and it makes for slow going trying to update my site!
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated (aside from the response i get most often - get better access!)

Did you try Blogg-x?
Not requiring to download the full online page for every task you do should dramatically speed up the process.
Yeah blogg-x is fine ... but if everything is DB driven i dont think i need to download the application , just access the system. Blogg-X i have already tried ... cool software, needs more functionality i think ... Thanks for the response, If there is anyone else who has another software to try let me know.
