Hi,
Is it allowed to use the project's smalllogourl and mediumlogourl on a public website?
Since they are apparently stored on amazonaws I suppose it is o.k.?
If so, how do I use it correctly? If I try to load an image in a browser (e.g. http://s3.amazonaws.com/attachments/6346/firefox_med.png)
I get an error AccessDenied
.
Many thanks in advance,
Raphael
Hi Raphael,
Ohloh images are hosted on Amazon AWS, and since we have to pay for that bandwidth, it is protected to prevent third parties from linking to it. You won't be able to reliably link directly to the Amazon-hosted images.
If you want to make duplicates of the images and host them on your own web server, that may or may not be allowed. Ohloh doesn't control the rights to these images. The answer would depend on the terms of use of the individual projects.
Thanks,
Robin
