Gives me this error message:
does not appear to be a valid Subversion connection string.
Works greate with shell SVN client.
Looks like it's the ~
that is not supported...

Yes, our validator rejected the ~ character.
I've made the fix, so you should be able to submit your URL now.

I did an alias on apache in the mean time. But that will be useful for others.
