Greetings,
I'd like to kindly ask you to please update the enlistment for project FEST ( http://www.ohloh.net/projects/6451 ) at your earliest convenience (it hasn't been updated for 24 days.)
Many thanks in advance,
-Alex
Well, since there's a topic already open... :)
The Rubinius project seems to be in error state for about a month now. Could you have a look at it too?
Hi Alex & Daniel,
I have scheduled updates for both of these projects. I'll keep an eye on them today.
Thanks,
Robin
Daniel,
Is Rubinius using a git submodule?
If so, Ohloh is not able to analyze this project. We are still on an older git that can't handle submodules.
Robin
Yes, I just checked and it seems to use a subproject now that mspec has moved to its own repository.
Well, thanks for the fast reply. Hope subprojects don't complicate the process too much.
Daniel, since this has been a growing problem for us (submodules are becoming very popular), I went ahead and implemented support for submodules.
Basically, we simply ignore all submodules. If you want the code from the submodule counted, you'll have to add the submodule repository as a separate Ohloh enlistment.
I've just checked in the changes and rescheduled the analyses. I'll check in tomorrow to make sure the fix went through successfully.
Thanks,
Robin
Sounds fair. Subversion externals are currently handled the same way (intentionally or not), and from my experience these are often used to link to other projects, which I agree shouldn't be counted. Plus, as you said, including them is easy if desired.
So, good job, and again thanks for the fast response.
