Here's what happened. I learned about the site and reg'd an acct. After login I went looking at some projects and see my name as a contributer to Gajim (for which I am) and I've got 7 kudos! How flattering, so I clicked the I Am this Person
and now my kudos have reset to zero. No big deal, but it seems like a bug since I suppose those here given to me (or the name nicfit) before...

Oops, I meant to say that they have reset to one, not zero.
I had the same happen to me -- this seems like buggy behavior, since the only thing that has changed is the alias to whom the committer refers.
Hi guys,
Sorry I missed this post earlier.
What you are experiencing is a known design issue.
Every person
, whether a real Ohloh account or a name in a source control system, is assigned a KudoRank every night. The KudoRank calculation is very expensive, so we can only afford to do it once per day.
If in the middle of the day you link a contribution to your account, we can't recalculate the KudoRank on the fly -- we have to pick either the existing account KudoRank or the existing contribution KudoRank. We pick the KudoRank of your account.
The kudos haven't gone away or been lost -- they're just not being displayed.
After the next night KudoRank calculations, the KudoRank you expect will return.
Thanks for explaining this -- I'll check in again tomorrow and see how things look!
