Open Source the Ohloh code.
I've been posting a lot of nits about how it handles Perl code statistics, I'd like to be able to fix them. It seems only fitting that the Open Source social site should itself be Open Source.
Hi schwern,
The Ohloh source code parser/line counter has been teased out of the Ohloh main codebase, and we're prepping it for release now. I'm writing some documentation and doing some code cleanup, and prepping our web server to serve up the repository and documentation. I'm shooting for the beginning of next week.
If all goes well, over time we do plan to open up more of the Ohloh code, which may ultimately lead to just what you describe: an social site about open source, which is itself open source -- directed and implemented by the community.
I eagerly await your Perl parser enhancements :-)
Robin
