Programs I use in LxQt desktop.

VLC media player VLC media player

Notes:
Plays literally everything, and does it well. I prefer mpv for playing youtube streams though. And it uses Qt

Q

QTerminal
Notes:
It's in qt, so fits the desktop, that's about it.
Mozilla Firefox Mozilla Firefox

Notes:
Absolutely great browser. A real shame it still uses GTK. It's lighter on resources than Chromium, has slicker interface, it has great support of css styles and animations, allows for a lot of customization. Nothing really competes with it.
Pacman Pacman

Notes:
The default package manager for arch. Love it because it doesn't leave a clutter, installs only what you need, and doesn't uninstall what you don't tell it to. It's a little less intuitive than apt, but once you learn it you will type less.
Redshift Redshift

Notes:
I work a lot with computers, and noticed lately that I loose ability to focus my vision in evenings because of eyestrain. The moment I had runned Redshift I was able to read text in the evening. Absolutely necessary for me now.
AUR AUR

Notes:
Offers the latest (even bleeding edge) software and community packages. The reason why I love arch.
Qt 5 Qt 5

Notes:
Qt is multiplatform and portable framework mainly for c++. What to say it's so far one of the best of free frameworks with great community and active development

Easy, universal, portable, beauty of simplicity.

juffed
Notes:
Great editor. I use it as a free substitute of sublime text. It gets the job done and is written in Qt.
Openbox Openbox

Notes:
Openbox is a window manager, that's very lightweight, compatible with almost everything, and allows quite high degree of customization. I use it with decor-none, which saves space on my screen.
