Graphing options for sales analysis and stock usage using the phplot graphing class.Developments underway yet to be released include an SQL report writer that allows free form reporting on the underlying data - these reports will be able to be printed to pdf or create CSV files for use in Excel or Open Office. The last six months has seen a ground swell of support for webERP the leading open-source ERP system for the LAMP platform.webERP is a web-based, multi-language accounting and ERP system with multi-currency Accounts Receivable and Payable, Purchase ... [More] Orders, Sales Orders, multi-warehouse inventory with serial number and lot tracking. The first multi-language version was released in December 2004 and already translations for:PolishSpanishBrazilian PortugeuseRussianhave been completed with Italian and French also well advanced.Version 3.00 is a milestone release marking the completion of multi-language. This required that pdf reports could be created in alternative fonts and character sets. The FPDF class by Olivier PLATHEY is more accomodating than the pdf.php class by R & OS Ltd that was previously used, in this respect. Janusz Dobrowolski and David Luo created a wrapper class for the R & OS class so that all the reports would not need to be re-written for the FPDF class. The other significant changes include: Postgres database compatibility - sql scripts are included.Movement of much of the configuration to the database previously they had to be edited inside a configuration file, there is now a user interface to maintain them. The security and role defintions also had to be maintained by editing the configuration file. This is the second patch for official version 2.9b and is therefore called 2.9b.2. The previous patch 2.9b.1 must be installed before this one. [More] things...- all of the multilanguage utilities have undergone further work including refinement and enhancing. For instance, now the language set in user preferences is the language being worked on.- several images have been optimized.- issue with translating the charset solved by extracting brackets < and >.- updated messages.po based on newest development. Not a big deal but any new development can introduce new strings that need translating. In this case this new messages.po includes the more important bracket change mentioned above as well.- until a proper solution has been clearly introduced, if only customer access, the system has reverted to causing an error when selecting completed orders instead of allowing any customer to see all orders!- a bit of debug code snuck into user settings and has been taken back out ;) Either way it did not cause any grief but did not look as smooth as usual.- the addition of a Multilanguage manual included within the overall manual as a subsection. With gettext installed on your server webERP can now be viewed in various languages. A couple of languages are complete and more are currently being translated! Some good multilanguage tools are contained in the distribution for creating, viewing and editing the language translation files. We are currently completing multilanguage for reports including a solution for more complicated languages that require multi-byte characters. For anyone who would like to contribute to webERP multilanguage we have the easy to use tools mentioned above setup at http://www.weberp.org/translate. More information about multilanguage can be found in our documents section (DocManager) and by joining the multilanguage list.- unified database and other system messages. Facilities to present messages have been built and the entire system has been modified to use these common facilities. This should enhance the user experience and ensure messages now and in the future will always be handled in a "perfect" manner.- cleaned up the code throughout. This included formatting for increased readability of the code, increasing speed where possible by, for example, using single quotes everywhere instead of double quotes which take time to be parsed and formatting to better display long lines such as sql and printf. It has been separated into sections based on the table of contents to minimize loading size and time. There are facilities within for printing sections or the complete manual.
