VVV (Virtual Volumes View)

VVV is an application that catalogs the content of removable volumes like CD and DVD disks for off-line searching. Folders and files can also be arranged in a single, virtual file system. Each folder of this virtual file system can contain files from ... [More] many disks so you can arrange your data in a simple and logical way. Now, when cataloging volumes, the program stores also metadata for MP3 files (author, title and so on). Cataloging volumes under Windows is much faster. The Linux version was already fast. Now it is possible to add a description to files and folders in the physical view. Added context menus to the right pane in the physical view. For example, it is possible to select many rows and add then to a virtual folder. Now the program remembers the last folder selected in the "Add to virtual folder" dialog. VVV is available for the Linux and Windows operating systems. An OSX version is planned for future releases. VVV does not change your operating system in any way: everything is contained in the installation folder so you can be sure that it will not cause problems to other applications or to the operating system itself.
