------------------------------------------------------------ VIRGO queueing driver kernel service code changes for 3.15.5 kernel ------------------------------------------------------------ - all kmallocs have been made into GFP_ATOMIC instead of GFP_KERNEL - moved some kingcobra related header code before kernel_recvmsg() - some header file changes for set_fs()

Code changes to debug the kernel_recvmsg() crash or panic which does not create any oops dump also and is difficult to pinpoint. This crash curiously coincides with kingcobra clauses as it happened with virgo cpupooling and memorypooling drivers. Looks like someting deep within 3.15.5 kernel fails which was working in 3.7.8 kernel

For virgu queue kernel service new header file virgoqueuesvc.h has been added and virgo_queue.h has been updated with new datastructures and virgo_queue_ops.

Updated VIRGO queuing driver with a kernel service that accept connections in port 60000 Thus it queueing and KingCobra need not depend on cpupooling and memorypooling drivers to forward requests through use_as_kingcobra_service the if clauses for which have since been commented due to a weird kernel_accept crash with KingCobra if clauses. This implementation is initial subject to telnet path tests.

Updated VIRGO cpupooling driver and syscall (virgo_clone) ---------------------------------------------------------- 1. VIRGO cpupooling driver has been updated with timestamp generation similar to memory pooling driver for KingCobra messaging 2. CPUpooling driver also experiences a crash or freeze with kernel_accept() when KingCobra clauses are added. Hence they have been commented. It can be overwritten by future commits once this issue is solved. 3. virgo_clone() syscall has been tested with above KingCobra commented version and it works perfectly. 4. It still remains a mystery on what happens when KingCobra if clauses are uncommented. This was working in 3.7.8 5. kern.log for today's testing for virgo_clone() system call has been added to repository. 6. test_virgo_clone testcase has been updated with correct syscall number for 3.15.5 and params. 7. The commented KingCobra if clauses have been updated with ntohl fixes as done in memorypooling driver. 8. Updated kernel objects and binaries have been added 9. virgo.h header has been updated for timestamp and header prefix related data for KingCobra

kern.log for VIRGO memorypooling syscalls test after commenting kingcobra clauses in memorypooling driver

Commenting use_as_kingcobra_service if clauses temporarily as disabling also doesnot work and only commenting the block works for VIRGO syscall path. Quite weird as to how this relates to the problem. As this is a heisenbug further testing is difficult and sufficient testing has been done with logs committed to repository. Probably a runtime symbol lookup for kingcobra causes the freeze.

kern.log for today's test of VIRGO memorypooling syscalls (virgo_malloc(), virgo_set(), virgo_get()). Some hiccups do remain but by and large better than 3.7.8

Added more printk(s) before and after kernel_accept() for debugging kernel_accept crash in 3.15.5 Also tested by commenting the KingCobra clauses which do ntohl(). VIRGO mempool syscalls were tested without KingCobra clauses and virgo_malloc(), virgo_set() and virgo_get() work better than 3.7.8. Importantly copy_from_user()(memcpy()) and copy_to_user() primitives that transfer data from and to the userspace from kernel work with less crashes and occassional freezes.
