This is a bug fix release in the 1.2.x line. 1.2.2 was not released
due to the discovery of a segfault bug after the release had been
cut. We hope upgrading to this release is as easy as 1-2-3 for you.
Binary distributions are usually available for various platforms
within a week. The Subversion project does not officially
endorse or maintain any of these binary distributions, so we cannot
control the exact timing of their release.

Subversion 1.2.0 is the first new feature release since 1.1.0 and
includes a number of new improvements and features. You can find a
detailed list of the chnages in our release notes at:
http://subversion.tigris.org/svn_1.2_releasenotes.html
The release notes also detail the compatability of this release with
prior 1.0.x releases.
The new 1.2 features are not yet documented in the online
Subversion book. Expect to see them in the next week or two.
In the meantime, a very compressed (but complete) explanation
of the new features is present in the 1.2 release notes.
Binary distributions are usually available for various platforms
within a week. The Subversion project does not officially
endorse or maintain any of these binary distributions, so we cannot

The term 'release candidate' means the Subversion developers feel that
this release is stable and ready for production use, so we encourage
people to test this release thoroughly. We believe rc4 is the last
release candidate and that this release will be released as 1.2.0
final in approximately one week. (We thought this was the case with
rc3 but a last minute issue with autoversioning cropped up, we're
really sure now).
Binary distributions are usually available for various platforms
within a week. The Subversion project does not officially
endorse or maintain any of these binary distributions, so we cannot
control the exact timing of their release.
A list of changes between 1.2.0-rc3 and 1.2.0-rc4 can be found in the announcement email for 1.1.0-rc4 archived at:
