This time no package is available for 64bit Linux. Sorry...
This release and all recent work about support material and multiple extruders is sponsored by LulzBot. Check out their products!
New features:
new separate options for retraction
... [More]
length to be used when switching between multiple extruders
new option to disable retraction when moving between infill paths inside the same island
new option to configure the threshold for enforcing solid infill
export plates as AMF constellations (...next version will be able to import them back ;-))
Improvements:
smarter retraction in multi-extruder prints
always connect infill paths, preventing gaps and unnecessary retractions
avoid backwards moves when doing honeycomb infill
accept newline as separator for post-processing scripts in the GUI
Changes:
temperature-related M-codes for the Teacup firmware were updated to the most recent ones
Bugfixes:
the "Delete" button in the Plater was causing crashes
brim was positioned incorrectly if no skirt was enabled
fixed regression causing some bridges not to be detected correctly
crazy temperatures were written when using sequential printing
removed warnings caused by output filenames containing the % character

Wow - the 0.9.0 release produced an impressive amount of feedback. Here's a quick new release for your summer.
This release and all recent work about support material and multiple extruders is sponsored by LulzBot. Check out their products!
New
... [More]
features:
retraction settings can be customized for each extruder now
a 64bit package is now available for Windows too (Win7 users will benefit from this)
Improvements:
allow exporting with the .g extension too
accept multiple --load arguments for GUI too
Changes:
pressing the Enter key from the configuration tabs doesn't trigger slicing anymore
Bugfixes:
exporting configuration produced unexpected/incomplete behavior when an external configuration was loaded before
saving a printer preset with less extruder than before resulted in the same number of extruders
skirt height and other options were limited to 100
random failures to load presets and config files

Exciting new release, with many improvements and new features including support for multiple extruders and a redesigned graphical interface.

Also thanks to Henrik Brix Andersen who worked on creating the wizard and improving the user experience, and to Mark Hindness who is focusing on speed and memory optimizations. New features are being researched on, stay tuned for next releases!
New features:
new graphical interface, with multiple presets and automatic loading of last settings
support for multiple extruders
wizard for new users (developed by Henrik Brix Andersen)
new option to set a different speed for external perimeters
new option to set extrusion width for support material
Improvements:
better flow math to get more continuous surfaces and better dimensional accuracy (note: you might need to revert your extrusion multiplier to 1 if you had set it to a lower value)
fill the gaps during normal infill to avoid extra travel
faster thin walls processing
many speed and memory optimizations (contributed by Mark Hindness)
removed the confirmation modal dialogs, use Growl/DBus for notifications when available
Changes:
don't reset E when the Makerbot flavor is selected
allow scaling factor to be at least 2540 to allow the conversion of inch models
First layer extrusion width is set to 200% over layer height by default
Bugfixes:
fixed regression causing objects to be 0.1mm larger
flow settings were almost ignored
brim was extruded multiple times when sequential printing was enabled
brim did not take support material into account
some infill was still generated even when density was set to zero

The previous release contained a bug which caused blobbing on layer change, so you're urged to download this one before yelling at your favorite slicing program!
New features:
new options to customize support material: pattern, spacing
... [More]
, overhang angle threshold, pattern angle
new option to disable the automatic addition of perimeters for sloping walls
new brim feature to improve adhesion (as requested by the community!)
Improvements:
support material now works with all geometries (not just flat overhangs)
perimeters now keep the full accuracy and resolution of the original model
honeycomb travel moves were optimized
Changes:
skirt loops are now extruded from outside to inside
arc geometry compensation was disabled
Bugfixes:
any retraction_lift value different from "0" caused no retraction on layer change, thus blobbing
first_layer_speed was accepting mm/m values rather than mm/s
some infill lines were not always connected near the perimeters
ratio inputs were not accepted on command line
ratio inputs were always converted to absolute values on config saving
when skirt distance was set to zero, the first loop coincided with the external perimeter of the object
first layer extrusion width was computed using general layer height rather first layer height

This release aims to fix pending bugs and address stability.
A number of contributors helped with patches and testing.
Note: the Mac executable requires OS X 10.6. I'm working on a 10.5 package; meanwhile, Mac Leopard users can use 0.7.2b.
New
... [More]
features:
new advanced options to customize extrusion width for first layer, perimeters and infill
new separate speed setting for top solid surfaces
new algorithm to fill gaps (corners, little regions, vase walls only allowing for an odd number of loops etc.)
experimental support material generation for DLP in SVG export
Improvements:
better detection of thin walls
avoid perimeter collisions
accept both relative and absolute values for extrusion width, first layer speed, first layer height (relative values can be expressed as percentage, e.g. 80%)
allow to load multiple files at once in the plater
always ask confirmation when overwriting existing STL files
warn user when an object can't be split
pass config options as environment variables to post-processing scripts
Changes:
renamed "Perimeters" to "Perimeters (minimum)" to avoid confusion caused by automatic additional perimeters
renamed bottom layer speed to first layer speed for consistency
always set bed temperature after first layer if first layer temperature is set
Bugfixes:
fixed regression causing many bridges to be extruded with a wrong direction
fixed regression causing skirt to be limited to the first layer
fixed regression causing some models not to be sliced correctly
fixed regression causing SVG export to be incomplete
arc compensation was applied to non-circular holes too, causing them to be too large
retraction wasn't triggered when moving between infill of different islands using low density infill
fixed slic3r-console.exe (on Windows) not working in previous 0.8.x releases
Z wasn't lifted when changing layer
the preview area was not updating to the largest side of the build plate
the Export SVG... menu item was not working
Growl notifications now work from the plater too
