OSSIM is one of the best if not the only comprehensive and well structured Open Source Remote Sensing Library. Supporting multiple operating systems and a plethora of sensor models. Both the command ine and GUI interface( slightly dated Qt 3.2 based) are powerful.

Hopefully the 3D mode - ossimPlanet will bring a new resource to C++ Earth Viewing.
