Ladies and gentlemen, I proudly present to you the 'user profile' which is finally available! You can edit personal data and contact informations there. All the informations are visible only to logged-in origo users. You can find your user profile in ... [More] the left menu. It is called 'My account'. Later when the notion of friends is introduced, the privacy settings will be more fine-grained. Then you should be able to display your contact informations only to your friends (if you wish). [Less]

Hi there, in the last week a few improvements to the frontend were made. It is now possible to restore the original origo project logo if you want it back or if something is not quite right with your own one. Project owners can delete releases ... [More] directly on the 'Download' page. Scheduled for this week is personalization. It is then possible for each user to have a more advanced user profile and be able to add more data like their ICQ number and so on. The next step in the direction to build communities is then the notion of 'friends' which will be introduced in the next weeks. read more [Less]

After trying out all sorts of things I finally managed to creat an installer for the Origo Visual Studio Package which can be downloaded in our download section. I didn't find a simple tutorial on the web on how to creat an installer for a VSPackage. ... [More] So I had to take a little bit information from one page, another bit from another blog and so on. That was really annoying and I even hat to find out a lot of stuff myself. read more [Less]

Today the famous german new site heise.de wrote an article about Origo. From this moment (19:05) on, we received a project request every 10 minutes. That was really a great feeling, but the problem about that was, that nobody of the team except me ... [More] was at home the whole evening. So all I did that evening until 01:00 was creating the requested projects ans answering questions in the comments to the Heise article. read more [Less]

Origo has officially/unofficially been launched this week for the greater public. We are very happy with the performance and project registrations are going well. Origo has now migrated to the beta setup and is now running in a distributed environment.
