Beginning with tonight's deployment, the current Mubox Installer will no longer be updated, users will want to uninstall their current version of Mubox. I will begin deploying Mubox as a standard ZIP Archive. Thanks.

After clients have exited they remain in the server ui. Not a big issue, but users which exit the game "normally" and close all clients will notice they don't have any keyboard/mouse control. Hitting alt-tab a few times corrects the issue.Comments: Resolved with changeset 25294.

fixing issue with client list not refreshing when clients disconnect
Posted almost 14 years ago by SEWilson
The 1.2.0.6 client no longer behaves properly when connected with the 1.3.052 serverAlt tab Switches both the window and the clientKeys are sent twiceAlso with the "Enable Input Captured", keys don't repeat, ie i have to press backspace for each ... [More] char, i can't hold it down.Comments: ** Comment from web user: SEWilson ** masshuu, please check the 1.2.0.6 download page, I have uploaded a quick-n-dirty hotfix to the client (contains no server code, it was too much effort.) Hopefully this works for you. I basically pulled the 1.3 bits which broke the 1.2 client and merged them into the 1.2 codebase. I did no testing except to ensure the client launches without crashing. It should be functionally compatible. Let me know how it works for you.As an aside, what would need to be done to the 1.3 series client to make it preferrable vs. the 1.2 series client? I'm open to suggestion, I'd like to avoid these hotfixes as I intend to move to a binary protocol in the 1.4 series client (it is currently ascii, a remnant of the original non-public version of Mubox from when I first began, it was easier to debug issues this way, but isn't terribly efficient and offers no error-detection facilities.)I have also shelved "1.2.0.6-client hotifx for 1.3.0.52-server" to the project workspace, as this represents the changes necessary to recreate this build. If anyone needs to do this themself they can create a new workspace and explicitly "get specific version" up to changeset 9716, then unshelve the shelveset and rebuild. All should work correctly, but users may need to create a SLN file.Lastly, the hotfixes files are NOT compatible with the 1.2.0.6 server, mixing them will render the server non-executable, likewise copying any 1.2.0.6 content over this hotfix will render the hotfix client non-executable. Mubox 1.2.0.6 is a Historical Release. The 1.2.0.6 release corresponds to with Changeset 9716, the release binaries will remain online indefinitely for those who prefer the 1.2 release for whatever reason, the 1.2.0.6 Client is compatible with the 1.3 ... [More] series Server, however, the 1.2.0.6 Server is NOT compatible with the 1.3 series Client. Two downloads are being provided at this time, the original 1.2.0.6 release and a "hotfix" release of the 1.2.0.6 client (no server included) which is intended to be network-compatible with the 1.3.0.51 Server. Fixes were put in place in 1.3.0.5x which broke compatibility with 1.2 clients, and some users still prefer the 1.2-series client since it allows you to attach to any window you like. Please do NOT mix the 1.2.0.6 hotfix with the 1.2.0.6 release, they are not compatible. The hotfix is a client-only release and contains no server component.NOTE: The 1.2.0.6 ZIP Archive Contains the Muboxer Add On from the 1.3.0.33 Release, updated for your convenience.Known Issues: Some localized versions of windows fail to properly resolve path names, so if you're a JP or CN users, be aware that a non-US install of Windows may not be compatible with this release. The Multicast feature only works with remote clients, local clients are bugged an unable to make use of Multicast. Sometimes the 1.2.0.6 Client would connect to the Server multiple times, resulting in multiple Client Entries in the Server UI (and a duplication of Mouse/Keyboard input.) [Less]
