Mubox supports Client/Server Encryption. This was introduced around the 1.3.0.56 release to address concerns over data privacy since Mubox uses basic TCP networking to perform its job.Mubox automatically generates encryption keys for every client you
... [More]
run, each time the client connects to the server. There is no need to enter a password, etc. It's all handled for you.The encryption is RSA-standard public/private key pair based, and they keys used are generated by the Operating System, not by Mubox itself. For backward compatibility, clients preceding the 1.3.0.56 release will function with the latest server, but the encryption will be disabled for those clients. To take advantage of encryption you will want to use the latest Version of Mubox on all machines. If this feature poses a problem for you please open an Issue in Issue Tracker, and an option will be added to opt-out of encryption. So far, there have been no complaints. [Less]

Even if it seems like it would be a radical departure from how things currently work, it may be that you have a good idea that would benefit a lot of people, and I'm always open to new ideas. Mubox has been in "Maintenance Mode" for roughly 3 months. During this time I have been focusing entirely on bug reports, and the only feature changes which have been made were made solely to address deficits in the current functionality of Mubox (for example Mouse Clone Mode, Client/Server Encryption and Muboxer macro updates. Much of the Help Content within Mubox is slightly out of date since Mubox has evolved much faster than the documentation has, thus the Documentation here on CodePlex (if available) will always be more accurate. However, until migration is complete you may still need to visit topics within the Help system within Mubox. A good example is Game Isolation and Mouse Clone.

Version 1.3 modified the Client Launch process so that the target window was resolved based on the launch target, e.g. you specify a path to wow.exe and click Launch, and then Mubox would use process launch information to determine the Main Window
... [More]
for the process. Some users have continued using the Version 1.2 client because they are unable to "select a window" in 1.3, I believe they do this so they can continue to use 3rd party tools that require to be in control of the launch process (and this is something that Mubox is not compatible with.) Version 1.4 should offer the user a "Window Target" option similar to Version 1.2's Target feature. The difference will be that, unlike the original behavior which was subject to mis-targeting the Game Window, this new feature will leverage the now-current targeting code by listing available processes (and their "Main Window Title Text" for identification.) This will be implemented as an optional step, e.g. you can opt to "Launch" the client as you do now, or you can opt to "Attach" to an already-running client as necessary. This should bring Version 1.2 users back into the fold where new features have been added. [Less]

I don't write very many macros, however, when I move into implementing FTL support I will likely want a feature that will share macros between all of my clients.I'm not sure if this is something I should handle externally, or if it should be part of

[Muboxer], or if I should implement a new AddOn that exists solely for "Macro Share". I would like some feedback on this one before I do any work. [Less]

It would be nice if we could load up one client, do all the Video/Audio/Keybind and AddOn configuration we need, then exit and have Mubox replicate the configuration settings to all clients on-demand. This would make setting up additional clients a breeze, especially in terms of AddOn configuration, and configuration of clients on remote hosts.

"Mouse Wander" will be a new feature that allows your Mouse to "Wander" to additional computers, similar to how Synergy functions. The idea is that when you hit a screen edge, mouse control naturally move to another monitor of your choosing.I
... [More]
currently lack the hardware to implement this sort of feature, and so it will have to wait until I have someone to beta-test it, or until I have the funds to purchase some additional computers and monitors.Currently, to switch to a different machine you have to switch clients using the client switcher (e.g. ALT-TAB), while there haven't been any complaints I believe the ability to wander between desktops would really hit home with a lot of users who have the money for a multi-machine, multi-monitor rig. Currently, [Mouse Clone] requires that your client windows overlap to properly broadcast the mouse to multiple clients. Unfortunately users who have multiple displays aren't able to make use of Mouse Clone. It currently only really works well for
