Support for output in the compressed U3D format allows also the creation of PDF documents with embedded 3D objects using LaTeX.MeshLab 1.1.0 introduces many important and appealing new features. The most notable improvements are the possibility of managing multiple meshes on different layers, and the new features for the processing of raw 3D scanning data. ICP alignment and Poisson based merging of multiple range maps is now possible within MeshLab. Meshlab supports many input/output 3D format and it is able to manage mesh composed by millions of triangles. This release adds various new filtering tools and a powerful interactive painting system that allows to interactively change color of a mesh, to define selections and even to directly smooth out noise and small features.
