Project Summary

gCSVedit is a simple text editor for CSV, TSV and other kinds of delimiter-separated values (DSV) files.

gCSVedit is a specialized text editor, not a spreadsheet software. As such, all characters present in the file are visible in the application, including the delimiters. It provides thus a great control over the data.

gCSVedit aligns the columns by inserting virtual spaces. The real spaces and tabs – those present in the file – are drawn with gray symbols. When saving a file, the virtual spaces are removed. And with the syntax highlighting support, gCSVedit provides a convenient way to view and edit CSV files.

gCSVedit also supports headers, that is, some text before the actual CSV fields. The header is not taken into account for the alignment.
