Adding an explicit test to make sure that failure in a put job does not cause the put job to stop. Could have sworn we had one of these, but I guess not.

Addign checks to not process files that are not "regular files" or directories. Doing so because trying to transfer fifo's or device special files is bad.

Backing out prior commits that added checks to not process named pipes, sockets or device files. The java library function that checks file types does not work reliably on linux.

We had been making a call to Ds3Client.newForNode() to make an instance of NetworkClient to talk to a BP. The reason for doing so was to support the future capabilty to support BP clustering. However, newForNode() always returned a new NetworkClient instance, which contains a new http connection instance, which contained a connection pool. This resulted in creating many connection pools quickly when transferring large numbers of small files. This would cause us to run out of socket connections. Though we could keep a collection of NetworkClient instances, one per BP connection address, doing so is not currently necessary, because BP doesn't support clustering yet. In addition, we haven't fully explored the lifetime management issues involved with keeping connections in a collection. So, we're just going to use the one client connection.
