Every good open source software project grows. With that growth, it sometimes becomes difficult to communicate with people within that project. This is true for the CyanogenMod project as well. With our continued growth, change is coming as well. A major change is to make it easier for outside developers to communicate with the CyanogenMod [...]

I am absolutely amazed at the support we have just been shown. We’ve reached our goal, and maybe a bit more. We will be ordering the servers next week (Xeon-class boxes with lots of RAM), and should have the builds going again soon! Thank you again for the support!

As you may know, our nightly builds have recently been sporadic at best. The reason behind this is that previously, we had access to a large compute cluster to perform these builds. This was really great, and gave us all the power we needed to pump out 50+ builds a day. Unfortunately, we no longer [...]

It’s been awhile since the last update and I just wanted to let everyone know about our progress with CM9. As I mentioned in the previous update, Android 4.0 contains many internal changes that require updated graphics drivers. Unfortunately, these drivers are almost always closed-source and don’t appear until a device or devkit is released [...]

We’ve been hard at work on CM9 since Google released Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) into the wild last month, and things are slowly starting to come together. CyanogenMod has had explosive growth over the past year.  When we started doing nightly builds, we only had to build for a few targets every night.  We now have over 50 targets to build for, and I get requests about once a week to bring up new devices on the BuildBot.  Many people wonder what [...]

The CM Touchpad team has decided that they feel an Alpha is in order. The following is what one of the members, dalingrin, sent me to post here on the main site. I hope you enjoy this build that countless hours have gone into. However, please realize this is not a final product nor does [...]

It’s been far too long since our last official release, but I’m happy to present CyanogenMod-7.1! I apologize for the long delay, and I hope to speed up our release process in the future. We originally planned to release this last weekend at the Big Android BBQ but some issues with our automated build system [...]

The CyanogenMod and FreeXperia team is happy to announce CyanogenMod support for multiple Xperia™ devices. Users of Sony Ericsson devices have been left out of the CyanogenMod experience for a while now. We are happy to announce that users will be able to enjoy a full-fledged CyanogenMod with nearly full hardware support (we are still [...]
