This is an C++/CUDA (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compute_Unified_Device_Architecture) implementation of the Enfuse algorithm also used in the Enblend/Enfuse project (http://enblend.sourceforge.net/). Using this technique one can generate HDR-like images calculated from two or more images of different exposure.
It aims to be an hardware accelerated replacement of the Enblend/Enfuse implementation for standalone usage or together with the Hugin photo stitcher (http://hugin.sourceforge.net/).
Taking pictures with different exposures is also called Auto Exposure Braketing (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belichtungsreihe).
