Thanks to Gentoo developer hasufell, Arx Libertatis ebuilds are now available in the portage tree. This means Gentoo users no longer need the arx-libertatis overlay. Mandriva and ROSA packages have also been available in the distribution

repositories for a while now.
If you want to see Arx Libertatis available in the default repositories of more Linux distributions, please open a package request for your favorite distro at the appropriate location - even if we already provide our own packages for that distribution.

Version 1.0.2 fixes various crashes, disappearing items when sorting the inventory, and minor rendering and input bugs. This release also fixes a bug that left the Spanish version with no text. See the changelog for more details.
Windows and Linux packages are available. We still don't have Mac OS X binaries, but a user has created a Wine-based wrapper that allows the Windows version to run on Mac for those who don't want to compile from source. We recommend switching to the OpenGL renderer when running under Wine. Arx Libertatis is also available as a FreeBSD port.
Fans of Arx Fatalis might also be interested in OpenMW, a project to create an open source and cross-platform engine for Morrowind. While they haven't yet reached a stable release, the current progress looks promising.

Due to a text rendering bug in 1.0 that breaks the Russian version, we have decided to publish a bugfix release. This version also fixes a crash on some Linux systems and uses
DirectX by default for rendering and input under Windows - see the changelog. As before, packages for Windows and Linux are available.
