Hi all, Django has a get_or_create function. Anyone with appengine experience that can recommend a way of doing this on appengine. Saving a model and then immediately retrieving it seems crude. Thanks. A.

hi all, base on my understanding on the last question of this FAQ [link] it seems it is suggesting not to use the django 1 that's already available on the app engine production server, but rather upload our app with our own copy of django. Am I right?

I am trying to run the appengine patch sample and am not having any success. manage.py runserver raises errors but from what I can see from searching the appengine forum they are expected and despite the errors the server is "trying" to process the request to local host. The error that would seem to be causing the problem is the import of
