Hello Admidio Community, It has been a long time ago you got support for the plugin written communications. Sorry for that, but sometimes the real life causes different decisons. All programmers in the Admidio project are working in their personal ... [More] spare time for free and it may happen that it is not enough time for development and improvement. This happend to me ... I´m sorry. To give you an approximate timeline for the plugin: First of all .. the plugin is not dead like sometimes mentioned. In the first step we will raise to Admidio Version 3.1 compatibilty. The reason why this didn´t happend so far, is the fact that technical requirements changed for the plugin. Since the core of Admidio improved so much the last 20 month ago and also the php language development, the basic of the plugin is not enough to support the actual releases anymore. This is caused by an old libary package for the word docs which still have a development state and are not supported anymore. This libary was modified in nearly all areas to work for me. Basically, the requirement for the plugin simply was to write text when I started and we improved the functionality. Since php 7 it doesn´t make sense to release a quick&dirty solution to be compatible with Admidio V 3.1. This is the reason why I decided to stop at the moment. The plugin must be basically reworked, because a lot of you guys already working with php 7, but the libary changed to a new team and it permantely improves. This is the way we need to go and switch to ... Tut mir leid, aber manchmal erfordert das Privatleben einfach anderes . Wir machen das Projekt ja in unserer Freizeit ohne Profit und da kommt es dann doch vor, dass keine Zeit für Verbesserung und Entwicklung mehr übrig bleibt. So auch bei mir .... sorry. Ich möchte euch hier mal einen ungefähren Überblick zu dem Plugin geben: Das Wichtigste ... es ist nicht Tod und wird auch künftig betreut entgegen der ein oder anderen Äußerung. Im ersten Schritt wird das Plugin zur 3.1 gehoben. Der Grund warum das auf sich warten lässt liegt in der technischen Anforderung. Admidio hat sich technisch innerhalb der letzten ca. 20 Monate extrem weiterentwickelt und vielmehr php, so dass die technische Basis des Plugins nicht mehr ausreicht. Das hängt mit einer alten Bibliothek zusammen, im Alpha Entwicklungsstatus, die ich so ziemlich überall abgeändert habe für das Plugin. Ursprünglich musste das Plugin Texte schreiben können. Das haben wir weiter entwickelt. Dieses Paket wird schon länger nicht mehr unterstützt. Seit php 7 macht es keinen Sinn da eine schnelle Variante für die 3.1 Admidio Version zu bauen, deshalb war es für mich die Entscheidung erst mal zu stoppen, um es grundlegend aus zur richten. Viele von euch nutzen bereits php 7. Die alte MS Word Bibliothek wird von einem neuen Team weitergeführt, allerdings mit grundlegenden Änderungen. Da muss das Plugin Written Communications hin.
