ABCD is a Data Acquisition System (DAQ) with a distributed architecture. Its main application is the acquisition of data in Nuclear Physics experiments. Each task related to the DAQ (acquisition, pre-process, analysis, HV management, ...) runs in a separate process. In other words, the system is composed of a set of very simple servers that exchange information through dedicated communication sockets.
ABCD supports the acquisition from most of CAEN digitizers (e.g. V1730, DT5730, ...) with the standard or the DPP-PSD firmwares.
The user interface is implemented as a web-service and can be accessed with a regular web browser.
