The OpenELEC team is proud to release OpenELEC 3.1.4The OpenELEC 3.1 release series are test releases (beta) for OpenELEC-3.2.OpenELEC-3.2 will be the next stable release, which is a feature release and the successor of OpenELEC-3.0. UPDATE: This ... [More] release contains a bug with SQL support, and is not more published in our download area. Thanks to 'hinderaker' for discovering the bug! We are working hard to fix this issue and release 3.1.5 very soon (within 1-2 days). Users who installed this build already can use our update system within our settings addon to downgrade back to 3.1.3. Sorry! This release got not much bugfixes and changes, this means we are near OpenELEC-3.2! Besides the usually bugfixes and package updates we added some backports from XBMC Gotham for RaspberryPi (many thanks to 'Popcornmix for the help and support here) users which improves a lot of things (more efficent DTS decoding, initial FF/REW support ...). We included also some fixes and optimiziations to our new settings addon support for HOLTEK remotes and some more Wlan drivers. You should only upgrade from OpenELEC-3.0 to OpenELEC 3.1.4 for testing purposes. [Less]

Beginning with OpenELEC-3.2 we will seperate some addons from our buildsystem and won't provide them anymore within our official addon repo. The reason for this to make it easier for us to maintain our core OS sources and give 3rdparty addon ... [More] developers the possibility to submit their own addons (also such which we rejected to be included in the past) to a global repo. [Less]

Yes, you heard right – win a FREE Flirc device, courtesy of Flirc! To celebrate our new partnership with Flirc we’re giving away five new Flirc devices and you have a chance to win one. What is Flirc? Tired of having a bunch of remotes that you ... [More] can never find? Flirc is for you! Flirc is a small USB device that plugs into your mediacenter (hopefully OpenELEC) and can learn the buttons on any remote control. You can then use that remote to control your mediacenter instead of having a dedicated remote. From the Flirc website: Flirc learns any remote control, not caring about different vendor protocols. Just walk through our super simple setup pairing individual remote buttons with 'Media Center Buttons' and you're done. Every week in July (every Sunday from now) we’ll be giving away a Flirc kit to one lucky winner and it could be you. What do I have to do? To win one of these great devices all you have to do is comment below as a registered user. Then, any one of the following (optional): Like us on Facebook or Google+ Follow us on Twitter and retweet this page In addition, anyone who donates using our Paypal button before the contest ends will automatically be added into the draw. If the registering on our site fails for any reason, please join us in our chat and ask for help with registering (and state your username there) so you can join in the fun. This contest will end at midnight, 28st July 2013 (UTC). The five winners will be chosen at random from registered users who comment below or from the PayPal donations we receive and, once we have confirmed their address, a Flirc device will arrive in the mail. Please check your email address is correct in your user profile otherwise we won’t be able to let you know if you have won! [Less]

Beginning with the next releases we change our versioning scheme a bit to support test (beta) builds inside our release cycles. Because OpenELEC depends on a X.Y.Z versioning scheme this will be now (changes from now on are marked with (*)):
