Feature Freeze MediaPortal 1.1.0 is entering its final stage of development. This means that on the 1st of October, a Feature Freeze will start. So starting with that date, we will not add any more new features, only bugfixes will be done. ... [More] But for these bugfixes there are also limits. This means that we might not be able to fix all issues, since major code changes always mean to risk to introduce a lot of more new issues. We plan to release a Release Candidate during October. Over the years problems came up with the SVN performance offered by SourceForge. Especially when hunting bugs and jumping around various fileversions and diffs. Therefore the team decided to set up an own SVN server. This step does not mean ... [More] that we will abandon SourceForge completely as we will still keep your source code as a backup there. The source code on our team's SVN server will be manually synced with SourceForge every month. Over the years we started to have problems with the svn performance offered by sourceforge. Especially when hunting bugs and jumping around various fileversions and diffs. That is why we now have our own svn server. But that does not mean that ... [More] we will abandon sourceforge completelly. We will still keep your sourcecode there as backup. The sourcecode on our team's svn server will be manually synced with sourceforge every month. We are very sorry to inform you that the small TV-Card specialist from Austria, Digital Everywhere, will stop to produce its famous products. Even though it did not hit us out of the blue, it is still a shock to all of us. Over the years Team ... [More] MediaPortal developed a very good relationship with Digital Everywhere. Their hardware was the Mercedes among TV-Cards, and the first choice not only for Team MediaPortal, but also for a lot of our users. As many other companies, Digital Everywhere did feel the effects of the economic crisis. Business was running bad, and they tried all they could to keep the company running.
