Suggestions for Ohloh 2.0 : Working around Subversion importer bugs

Heya, maybe this is something you could use in case your svn importerS are striking again. I added the restartability property (incremental conversions/imports) thinking of you ☺ Plus, you get the ... [More] comma-v files without the need for a peeserver (if you do need it, you could run it locally, but thinking of obtaining ,v files via rsync, that’s not the long-term goal IMHO). https://www.mirbsd.org/permalinks/wlog-10_e20081217-tg-g10009.htm [Less]

Suggestions for Ohloh 2.0 : More strict warnings about the code

I don’t know if that’s a good idea. Often, projects mix code from different origin, even legacy code. When applied to only one file in question, this however might be a good idea – the package tools ... [More] we inherited from FreeBSD via OpenBSD actually have one file with THREE different indentation styles in them… and guess what, we do not fix that because it would mean that almost all lines have to be touched, which wrecks stuff like cvs annotate… [Less]

Feedback Forum : Language particulars: lex and yacc

http://www.mirbsd.org/man1/flex There’s nothing XML in there ☺ Basically, lex files are *.l and yacc files are *.y, and they do have some kind of syntax, but… … well, Ohcount does not dive into ... [More] patch files (unidiff or context diff) either, just says there is no code. I bet that one is easier to fix. Can’t promise anything though, been busy fixing NetBSD software. [Less]

Technical Issue Help : NetBSD repository download failed

I notice that restarting the “downloads” takes almost as long as starting them in the first place, and places a heavy burden on the server (if only one project is synching, two cvs processes at about ... [More] 50% CPU each). Maybe you should really use direct comma-v file download (using rsyncd or anonrsync-over-ssh) and parsing (as per rcsfile(5) or using the GNU RCS tools like rlog, rcsdiff, co) instead if the project offers such thing. That said, the MirOS downloads are slowly progressing. Let’s see where this ends. MirPorts, with the bigger amount of (smaller individual) files already finished, so this is not necessarily the problem. [Less]
