YAML is the best HTML / CSS framework I've seen to implement modern CSS based layouts. It offers solutions for common layout problems and methods to deal with browser bugs.
Dirk, the author of YAML does really understand what he is doing and I can recommend his book "CSS Layouts" to everyone that works in this field, even to people that don't want to work with YAML.
During the last year I rewrote the GUI layer of the FOSS eLearning system OLAT based on the YAML concepts. YAML helped me beeing successfull with this task.
