Rave from a Ubuntu-convert
5.0

After the disappointment of Ubuntu 8.10 "Intrepid Ibex"'s lack of killer features, I tried other distros to see what they had to offer.

Of all the ones I tried (this included Mandriva 2009, openSUSE and Linux Mint) Fedora 10 came out on top. It's installer looks beautiful and is easy to use. Graphics support for the advanced Compiz settings can be sketchy with some cards, but all in all it's a great Ubuntu competitor. It seems faster, has a variety of RHEL utilities and the Livna repository covers everything Medibuntu did (aside from Flash, but Adobe provide a Yum repository for this).

I still use Ubuntu Hardy with Netbook remix on my Asus Eee PC 900, but Fedora is now my distro of choice on a Sony VAIO laptop. Thanks for creating such a great product!
